BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield announced it has three finalists in the running for the next Chief of the Bakersfield Police Department.

According to the City of Bakersfield, the three candidates are: Assistant Chief Greg Terry, who has served as interim chief since late December, Capt. Jason Matson and Lt. Brent Stratton.

The three candidates are expected to be interviewed by City Manager Christian Clegg this week who will then make a decision no earlier than next week.
