BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Chapter of Links Incorporated is joining the effort to get people registered to vote in the November election.
The chapter's goal is to increase the number of registered voters in Kern County. In the coming weeks, chapter members will mobilize to increase participation in the election through voter awareness, education and registration.
There are two town hall meetings with community leaders and the chapter of links on September 24 and October 14 at 5:30 p.m. to provide an open forum for people to talk to local experts.
