BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield California Highway Patrol announced a new commander. Captain Levi Miller, a 21-year member of the Department, will take over the Bakersfield area CHP.
Miller joined the CHP in 1999 and was assigned to the East Los Angeles Area. He later transferred to the Morongo Basin Area and promoted to Sergeant in the Arrowhead Area of the CHP. Most recently, Miller served as the Administrative Lieutenant within the CHP’s Inland Division.
“The Bakersfield Area is one of the busiest and largest commands in the CHP. I am grateful and humbled to serve alongside the women and men who are dedicated each day to providing the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security to the people of California,” Captian Miller said.
The CHP is a family tradition for Captain Miller as he is one of four brothers on the Department.
