BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Local teachers received a nice bonus, courtesy of the Bakersfield City School District Education Foundation, on Tues, April 25.
The foundation presented a check for more than $65,000 to teachers in the district. The money was raised through fundraising last year.
The grant money will help fund a number of special programs for students, including science, art, music, and engineering programs.
