BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Those who have traveled to Downtown Bakersfield recently may have noticed something missing at Bakersfield High School.
According to BHS school officials, the statue of the oil well derrick has been removed due to construction.
The school says that the statue is being stored and preserved and will be relocated on the campus at a later date. Officials have not yet said when that could be.
