BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Homeless Center is asking for help following Gov. Gavin Newsom's new order requiring face coverings.

The center said with nearly 200 individuals staying at their facility every night, half of them children, the center needs at least double the number of cloth masks.

The masks will be needed for members and staff to use, especially while rotating between wearing and washing.

Anyone interested in making a donation can call (661) 322-9199.
