(UPDATE: November 17, 2018 5:00 p.m.) The organizers of the Bakersfield Marathon are allowing runners to change their race tomorrow if they are uncomfortable with the air quality.
Air quality will be unhealthy for all groups tomorrow, according to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District.
According to a post on the Bakersfield Marathon Facebook page, organizers are "closely monitoring the air quality." As of 5 p.m., the Bakersfield Marathon is still scheduled to go on.
