Officials within Bakersfield College are furthering their investigation into how the sexual assault on campus last week was reported.
The female student who witnessed the suspicious male outside the restroom reported it to a staff member within the building who didn't act, according to the public safety department.
An internal investigation is going on to get to the bottom of this.
They said a second faculty member was informed by the female student who then reported the activity to officials.
Both faculty members involved were in the Fine Arts building.
