Traffic on Highway 58 in Central Bakersfield is jammed after a big rig hauling carrots crashed Monday evening.

The crashed happened in westbound lanes of the highway near S. Chester Avenue at around 5:30 p.m.

The truck was hauling about 1,000 lbs. of carrots at the time of the crash, California Highway Patrol dispatchers reported.

No one was seriously injured in the crash.

Westbound traffic was reported as being backed up from S. Chester Ave. past Union Ave.
