BPD arrest third suspect wanted in home invasion where an elderly woman was shot

On July 8, 2016, Bakersfield Police detectives arrested Rayon Norwood (24) and Robert Norwood, Jr. (27), both of Bakersfield, on charges of Attempted Murder, Robbery, Elder Abuse, Gang Participation, and various weapons violations.

Detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying and locating the female depicted in the below photos from the residence’s video surveillance system.

It is believed that she has very distinct tattoos on the front of both thighs.

At this point in the investigation items belonging to the victim have been recovered. A stolen firearm was also recovered during the search of a residence. It is unknown if this firearm was used in the offense.

The victim is still hospitalized and in stable condition. The investigation is continuing.
