The man arrested in a double murder in California City that left a 12-year-old girl dead has been found guilty.
California Police announced Monday that Desmond Perry was convicted on two counts of second-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Trinity and Michael Wiggins.
Perry is expected to be sentenced on Aug. 13 in Bakersfield.
Perry was arrested after a manhunt in Cal City following the shooting on Lupine Loop in July of 2018.
Police were called to the area for reports of a drive-by shooting. That's where officers found two victims, 12-year-old Trinity Wiggins and Michael Wiggins.
Investigators say Michael was staning outside this door when he was shot and that Trinity was inside and was hit by a bullet that went through the house.
One of the victims died at the scene and the second victim died at a local hospital.
