Taste of the Arts is making a return to the California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) campus on Sunday, October 9 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in and around the Doré Theatre.
This free event will allow the community to experience the Art, Music and Theatre programs first-hand.
“For many years, 'Taste of the Arts' was a highlight of Bakersfield’s fall artistic calendar, and we are so excited to renew this great tradition. Community members are invited to hear 'small bites' of music, experience a gallery exhibition, take in a scene from a Shakespearean comedy, and more, all the while supporting the flourishing CSUB arts programs,” said Jim Scully, of the Art, Music and Theatre Department.

Guests will be treated to musical performances by choral, jazz and chamber music students, as well as excerpts from the Fall plays, “Love’s Labour’s Lost” and “There’s an Alligator Under My Bed". There will also be an exhibition of student art work, guided tours of the new Visual Arts Building and live
demonstrations in the pottery studio.
In addition to the sights and sounds, Taste of the Arts will also offer ‘tastes’ courtesy of Café Med who will serve complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres.
