CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. — California City City Manager Bob Stockwell resigned from his position during last night's city council meeting, appointing Anna Linn as the interim for the time being.

His resignation was effective at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday.

Stockwell is one of two Cal City officials to have been placed on paid administrative leave in the past two months. In April, Stockwell was placed on leave following issues that were raised during a performance evaluation. Linn was made interim city manager following this decision.

Earlier this month, Cal City Public Works Director Craig Platt was placed on leave as well.

Linn said the decisions are not related.

Linn would not comment on the nature of the investigation into Platt, adding that it is a personnel matter.

23ABC has reached out to the City Attorney's office and is awaiting comment.
