CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. — The California City Police Department's Interim Chief Timothy O’Quinn has stepped down, according to the department.

Officials said that Sergeant Shannon Hayes will serve as the new interim chief.

After nearly 30 years with the department former Cal City Police Chief Eric Hurtado announced his retirement at the beginning of the month.
