BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — In light of the holiday weekend, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is taking extra precautions on the roadways by implementing a Maximum Enforcement Period in Kern County.
A Maximum Enforcement Period means all available officers will be on duty.
The period begins tomorrow after 6 p.m. and continues through midnight on Sunday, Dec 25.
