BAKERSIFELD, Calif. — The City of Bakersfield Recreation and Parks Department announced Friday that its latest dog park is officially open.

The new park is located in Southwest Bakersfield at Bridle Creek Park. It's two acres and features two water fountains, with dog bowls attached!

The City wants to remind residents that basketball courts and picnic area remain off-limits at this time.

Last year, Bakersfield was ranked one of the top cities in the country for dog parks.
