Thousands of community members, along with multiple Bakersfield churches, will be providing meals to families in need for Thanksgiving.

 

Canyon Hills Assembly of God, First Presbyterian Church, Influencers Bakersfield, Journey Church, Morning Star Fresh Food Ministry, Rosedale Bible Church, Northminster Presbyterian Church, Olive Knolls Church, Rosedale Bible Church, The Bridge Bible Church and Valley Bible Fellowship are teaming up to provide over 100,000 Thanksgiving meals to over 6,000 families in Bakersfield and surrounding areas.

 

This is the ninth year "Love For Thanksgiving" has been organized and served. The churches will begin preparing the food separately on Monday, November 21. They will then come together and organize the food for delivery to each family on Thanksgiving Day.

 

Volunteers and donations are welcomed. The distribution of meals will be in the Costco parking lot on Rosedale Highway on Thanksgiving at 8 a.m.
