BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified the victim of a pedestrian fatality on Friday, February 1.

According to police, 64-year-old Prince Albert Smith was struck by a vehicle near 700 H Street in Central Bakersfield. He was transported to Kern Medical where he died from his injuries.

A postmortem examination will be performed to confirm the cause and manner of his death.
