WASCO, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner identified 17-year-old Florencio Zamora, of Wasco, as the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash in Wasco Tuesday.
According to the coroner's office, Zamora was driving an SUV on Highway 46, west of Main Drain Road, just after 10 p.m. Tuesday when for unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
Zamora was declared dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
