The Kern County Sheriff's Department Coroner's Office has identified the victim in a shooting that happened at Cannon Ave. and Cottonwood Rd.

29 year-old Benny Ward was shot by another on May 6th. He was transported to Kern Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
