Coroner identifies victim of bicycle collision in Stallion Springs

STALLION SPRINGS, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified the victim of a traffic fatality in Stallion Springs on Monday just before 5 p.m.

According to officials, 32-year-old Janine Marie Westberg was the operator of a bicycle that was struck by a truck at the intersection of Comanche Point Road and Jacks Hill Road. She died at the scene.

A postmortem examination will be performed to confirm the cause and manner of her death.
