BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County coroner has identified the victim of a traffic fatality on Saturday, December 15 as 28-year-old Cassandra Ashley Nicholas.

According to officials, Nicholas was a passenger on a motorcycle that crashed on SR 14 at SR 58 in Mojave. She died at the scene at approximately 8:35 p.m. on Saturday. A postmortem examination will be conducted to confirm the cause and manner of death.
