BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified the victim of a traffic fatality from Saturday, March 16.

According to officials, 26-year-old Christopher Renee Avina was involved in a vehicle accident on Southbound I-5, south of Grapevine Road in Lebec.

Avina was transported to Kern Medical where he died from his injuries. A postmortem examination will be performed to confirm the cause and manner of his death.
