BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified the victim of a traffic fatality in Lamont on Saturday, just before 6 p.m.
The man, 56-year-old Eloy Lopez-Jimenez was the operator of a vehicle that struck another on Wheeler Ridge Road, south of Herring Road. He died at the scene from his injuries.
A postmortem examination will be performed to confirm the cause and manner of his death.
