The Kern County Coroner has identified a man shot and killed in the 2000 block of J Street as 18-year-old Dejon Nellium.

Deputies responded to the 2000 block of S. J St. near Ming Ave. and Chester Ave last Friday.
Deputies arrived on scene and found a man in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to Kern Medical where he died.
