The funeral service for Ramon Angel Reyes-Chavez has been scheduled for May 9th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Greenlawn Cemetery located on Panama Ln.
The Kern County Coroner said Monday that two-year-old Ramon Angel Reyes-Chavez, who was found in the Kern River Canyon last week, died from blunt force trauma.
Reyes-Chavez was found near Democrat Hot Springs near the Kern River, according to the coroner's release.
A postmortem examination revealed the two-year-old's manner of death was homicide.
The mother of the toddler, 19-year-old Ayled Chavez, was arrested on Thursday, April 26th and booked on charges of murder, felony child abuse, and conspiracy.
Police said the mother's boyfriend, Kaleb Kessinger, led police on a manhunt and was arrested on Friday, April 27th.
