BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to the Kern County coroner, 38-year-old Sara Bustamante was shot to death near Tommy's Liquor Store earlier this month.

Officials said on October 5, they found Bustamante's body near the liquor store, which is located on South Chester Avenue.

23ABC was able to confirm with a family member of Bustamante's, that she was also the same women mistakenly identified by the Kern County coroner in a 2014 deputy-involved shooting.

The coroner announced Monday that it had performed a postmortem examination and determined Bustamante's cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide.
