BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — City Council member Jacquie Sullivan says that her non profit organization, "In God We Trust America," would fund the "In God We Trust" decals for Bakersfield Police patrol vehicles.

On Wednesday, Bakersfield City Council heard from Pastor Angelo Frazier and several others on a proposal to add the nation's motto "In God We Trust" on Bakersfield Police cars.

Some residents consider the proposal an infringement on the first amendment of separation between church and state.

City Council member Jacquie Sullivan says the proposal will be in the June agenda.
