Cooling centers across Kern County have been helpful for those looking to escape the summer heat, but many of the places have restrictions depending on the forecast.
The City of Delano has elected to operate cooling centers independently. The City of Delano's Cooling Centers are open from June 1st to August 31 at the locations and times listed below.
Monday-Friday 9 am - 1 pm
Ellington Center

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 4 pm - 7 pm
LTV Technology Center
140 W. 11th Avenue
