DELANO, Calif. — A man has confessed to killing a woman who was found dead in a field Thursday evening, according to the Delano Police Department.
According to Delano PD, around 5:45 p.m. on May 23, officers were dispatched to the area of County Line Road and Road 128 for a body that was found within a field.
Delano PD says the woman was identified Friday morning as 39-year-old Tina Anne Gutierrez of Delano.
Through an investigation, Delano PD says detectives were led to the home of 28-year-old Leonardo Felix of Delano. He was arrested at his home around 4 p.m. Friday.
According to Delano PD, Felix was interviewed and confessed to the crime, "providing details not previously released and could only have been known by the perpetrator."
