DELANO, Calif. — The Delano Police Department announced it has arrested a man suspected of setting multiple fires throughout the city.

According to DPD, Jose Maria Leon Bojorquez, 37, was arrested after he was seen on surveillance video setting a fire outside a business early Thursday morning.

The department said Bojorquez was seen Friday leaving the scene on a bicycle after setting fire to a trash bin. Officers responded to the trash fire on Cecil Avenue where they were able to retrieve the surveillance video.
