The men and women of the Delano Police Department would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of George Floyd and the residents of Minneapolis. We can only imagine the tremendous shock, grief and loss they are individually and collectively experiencing from the senseless actions we've all seen on newscasts over the past three days.

Now more than ever, it is apparent that we in law-enforcement only operate with the permission of the community and that only happens when there is trust.

As we emerge from coronavirus, "shelter in place" we pledge to resume the work of keeping our community safe with a renewed focus on actively keeping your essential and vital trust.
