BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. - The Delano Police Department is on the lookout for a suspect wanted for the death of Jaime Melgoza Herrera, 27.

Herrera was shot between Clinton Street and 13th Avenue in Delano early on the morning of Friday, June 8. Herrera was taken to Delano Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, according to police.

The suspect, Gabriel Jacob Tarango, 21, was arrested and released pending further investigation into the June 8 shooting.  An arrest warrant has been filed against Tarango, whose whereabouts are unknown. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
