The family of Michael Ballesteros is still looking for answers.
The 18-year-old was found shot to death in an orchard on Breckinridge Road in East Bakersfield back on February 9.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating his death as a homicide. So far, there have not been any suspects announced.
“I know it will never bring him back, but I would feel so much better knowing that whoever did this came forward or was caught. At least I would know who did this to my son,” Ballesteros’ mother Linda Soto said.
The family is looking for any answers they can find and has set up a GoFundMe account to help with funeral costs after funds from the Victims' Assistance Program fell through.
