(KERO) — (UPDATE 6:30 p.m.): The WolfFire has burned a total of 685 acres and is currently 80% contained.

The Kern County Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire burning near Wind Wolves Preserve off of Highway 166.
According to KCFD, strong winds have fanned the flames to approximately 200 acres in the span of an hour. KCFD said winds are nearing 50 mph.
