Evacuations have been lifted following a propane leak at the Flying J truck stop on Zachary Ave., according to the Kern County Fire Department.

KCFD reported that a tank holding 20,000 gallons of propane began leaking around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Crews quickly responded and identified fittings on the tank as the leak source. Repairs underway by a local propane company while firefighters monitor the scene.

Surrounding businesses were evacuated as a precaution.
