(UPDATE: 3:38 p.m.)  According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Logan August is currently being held in a Tulare County Jail.

Former KCSO deputy Logan August has turned himself in to authorities, 23ABC has learned. He was arrested by the District Attorney's Office and booked on 15 felony charges.

He has been arrested and booked on 15 felony charges, including 5 counts of burglary and 1 count of conspiracy to commit a crime.

August and his KCSO partner, Derrick Penney, plead guilty to felony charges of conspiracy to distribute marijuana last year. They were both sentenced to probation. 

Penney was arrested in Idaho on September 7 and faces a "fugitive to Idaho" charge. 

August turned himself into the downtown Bakersfield jail. 

KCSO Sheriff Donny Youngblood plans to comment next week after August is expected to arraigned. The arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, September 11 at 8 a.m.
