BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Golden Empire Transit (GET) is again providing free rides to the public due to expected unhealthy and potentially hazardous air quality on September 7th. The bus company did the same the previous day.
Bakersfield residents are encouraged to ride on GET fixed routes and on-demand para-transit for free. The GET on-demand micro-transit, however, will not be free.
