The company also identified the man killed as Sergeant Richard Iloilo.

The company wrote the following in a Facebook post:

We are deeply saddened by last night’s tragedy and extend our most sincere sympathies and condolences to the family of Sergeant Richard Iloilo for losing his life in this senseless violence. Sergeant Richard Iloilo was a highly regarded and well-respected member of our security team whose actions last night protected our customers and employees.

Our top priority always remains the safety and comfort of our customers and team members. Golden West Casino has in place extensive security measures developed by our head of security who has many years of past law enforcement experience with the City of Los Angeles. Last night those security measures were activated to protect our customers and team members. We are continuing to work with law enforcement as they complete their investigation.

Sergeant Richard Iloilo is to be commended for his actions. We continue to grieve for the loss of a dear friend and a member of the Golden West Casino family.

Golden West Casino said they will also be hosting a free breakfast buffet on Sunday November 5th.

"Please join the Golden West Casino family for a free breakfast buffet as we come together to share stories and memories of Sergeant Richard Iloilo," the company wrote in a post.
