Habitat for Humanity's response to Hurricane Harvey will be one of the six organizations that will benefit from the "Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief" telethon.

The telethon will feature some of the nation's biggest artists and stars coming together to raise funds for those impacted by the massive devastation that has taken place down in Texas. Viewers can expect appearances by and performances by George Clooney, Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé, Matt Lauer, Rob Lowe, Matthew McConaughey, Julia Roberts, Blake Shelton, Barbra Streisand and many more.

"As tens of thousands of Texans and Louisianans return home to salvage belongings and begin to rebuild, they need our support more than ever," Habitat for Humanity International CEO Jonathan Reckford said in a statement.

Habitat for Humanity is an organization that repairs abandoned, donated or foreclosed homes and sells them to low-income families. The organization only asks that the families buying the homes help in the remodeling process as a form of down payment.

There are about 30 local Habitat for Humanity offices throughout the parts of southeast Texas and Louisiana affected by the storms. As part of its response to Hurricane Harvey, the organization deployed Mobile Response Units and Disaster Corps volunteers to asses the damage. They will then use those assessments to develop response options to best fit the housing needs of the area.

Habitat's response includes organizing volunteers and resources to help with cleanup and long-term housing repairs.

The telethon will air nationwide on Tuesday Sept. 12 from 8-9 p.m. EDT. Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire is accepting donations through their website or by check designated for 'Hurricane Harvey' in the memo line.
