Officials with the Kern County Public Health Services have closedHabanero’s Mexican Grill on California Ave. due to health violations.
Officials reported live cockroaches in food preparation area.

Officials also said the facility failed to demonstrate the basic principles of food safety and sanitation.
This is a second time in a year officials closed the restaurant due to health violations.
