BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Thomas Roads Improvement Program is announcing Highway 99 will be closed between eastbound Highway 58 connector and Ming Avenue, starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The closure is scheduled to last until 5 a.m. Wednesday.

During this time, the two inside southbound lanes will be closed but one southbound lane will remain open while work on a new bridge column is underway. Starting at 11 p.m., all northbound lanes will be closed.
This closure may be in effect during the same hours Wednesday and Thursday night if necessary.
Northbound traffic will be detoured around the work zone via Union Avenue and State Route 58. Please slow down and pay attention to construction and detour signage while traveling through this area.
