BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The 32nd Annual Holiday Cottage pop up kicked off today. Holiday wishes from fostered youth of all ages filled the walls.
The pop up is located in the Rosedale Village at 2681 Calloway Drive, Suite 314.
This year they expect to fulfill over 800 wishes. Dena Murphy, Director of the Department of Human Services, said for 32 years straight they have been able to grant every wish.
"This is something that makes them feel special and cared for, warm like they were remembered. And it wasn’t just a gift it was something they really wished for,” said Murphy.
All you have to do is stop by the Cottage, grab a wish, and bring the unwrapped gift back within three days.
If you want to make the holidays a little bright this year stop by the The Cottage through December 16 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
