CALIENTE, Calif. — (UPDATE 6:15 p.m.) Kern County Fire said forward progress of the fire has been stopped.
Kern County fire crews responded to a small brush fire near a post office in Caliente.
According to KCFD, crews are on scene making progress with the blaze. SoCal fire reported it has deployed air tankers to assist.
So far no damage has been reported.
