Kern County Sheriff deputies arrested a person connected to the 2014 murder of Silvestre Soto.

Officials said they arrested 32-year-old Juan Lopez last week near the California/Mexico border.
An arrest warrant was issued for Lopez for the murder.
KCSO officials said their homicide detectives began an extensive investigation with assistance from the Kern County District Attorney's Office Kern Regional Crime Laboratory.
During their investigation, they were able to identify Lopez as one of the suspects involved in the killing of Soto.
Back on March 20, 2014, 49-year-old Silvestre Soto was found dead in an orchard near the Bena Landfill.
Lopez has been transported back to Kern County and is being held without bail.
