ROSAMOND, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is searching for an additional suspect they believe is connected to the murder of 31-year-old Kyle Ramirez in Rosamond.
Investigators say 27-year-old Esteban Briseno, has been identified as a suspect along with Jaime Briseno Perez who was arrested at the crime scene. Perez has since been charged with murder and remains in custody pending court proceedings.
In April of 2018, officials found Ramirez's body inside of a home near Alexander Avenue and W Roxbury Street. According to court documents, his body had blunt force trauma to the face, a belt wrapped tightly around his neck, bruising around his throat, and stab wounds to the head, face and neck, according to the documents.
KCSO said there is an active arrest warrant for Briseno who has also been charged with Ramirez's murder.
