The Kern County Sherriff's Office responded to two calls for drownings at Hart Park on Saturday night.

Deputies, Search and Rescue, Air Support, and the Bakersfield Fire Department responded to the calls around 6:20 p.m. At around 6:50 subjects who were playing in the water located the missing 14-year-old female, who was located underwater downstream.

After flagging down the KCSO Air Unit, medical aid transported the female to a local hospital, where she was declared deceased.
