BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the man wanted after leading cops on a hot pursuit in the Planz Park area last month has been arrested. With the help of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, BPD was able to catch Deon Hodge in the Sacramento area on Wednesday.
On July 25, around 11:21 a.m. cops attempted to stop a car that Hodge, was in. Officials said Hodge led officers on a pursuit and ran from the car in the area of Planz Park. Officers then proceeded to conduct a yard to yard search in that area for Hodge. Officials then warned the public that Hodge was considered armed and dangerous.
Hodge was booked into the Kern County jail for felony evading, resisting arrest causing injury, several felony firearms related violations, gang participation, and possession of stolen property.
