BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 36-year-old man who went missing in the Kern River Saturday.
According to KCSO, the man went missing at around 12:29 p.m. around the 24-mile marker of the river. KCSO said deputies were sent out to the area on Saturday and conducted a search of the area.
KCSO said at the time of his disappearance the man was not wearing a life-vest.
Search and Rescue went back out Monday morning with a helicopter but was still unable to locate him.
The department said the team plans to continue the search either Tuesday or Wednesday.
