BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — KCSO has identified 35-year-old William Ganong, the son of local attorney Philip Ganong, as the victim in a deadly house fire, last Saturday.

The department was dispatched out to the 2400 block of Beech Street. After the crew put out the flames, they found Ganong's body inside the home.

Earlier this week, the office manager at Philip Ganong's law office in Bakersfield confirmed to 23ABC News that the home listed in the fire is Philip Ganong's personal residence.

A postmortem examination was conducted but the cause and manner of death is still pending further investigation.

The cause of the fire is also still under investigation.
